Meet the Partners

Kseniya Zavala

Kseniya Zavala

Kseniya Zavala grew up in Minsk, Belarus before moving to the United States to pursue further education. As the first-generation immigrant herself, Ms. Zavala understands and appreciates the intricacies and complexity of the US immigration process. Ms. Zavala received LL.M. in International Law from George Washington University School of Law in Washington, DC and LL.M in Comparative Constitutional Law from Central European University in Budapest, Hungary. Her BA in International Law is from Belarusian State University, Minsk, Belarus. Ms. Zavala developed interest in immigration law while still in law school. She started practicing as an immigration attorney in 2006. After working for a national law firm as a managing attorney of one of their offices, Ms. Zavala together with Ms. Villalpando opened their own immigration law firm in 2012. Ms. Zavala has extensive experience in business immigration, humanitarian benefits and family-based immigration. She is admitted to the Bar of the State of New York and she is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association. Ms. Zavala is bilingual in English and Russian. Ms. Zavala loves traveling, sampling food from all over the world and learning about different cultures.

Brenda Villalpando

Brenda Villalpando

Brenda M. Villalpando was born in Guanajuato, Mexico, and was raised outside Stockton, California, where her family worked on the fields. Her exposure to and experience with agricultural workers from an early age guided Ms. Villalpando towards a lifelong commitment as an advocate for migrants. Ms. Villalpando graduated from the University of California at Davis, where she majored in Political Science. She received her Juris Doctorate from California Western School of Law in San Diego, California. Ms. Villalpando started her career as an immigration attorney in 2009 and founded her own law firm in 2012. Ms. Villalpando has amassed extensive experience in removal defense, family-based immigration, naturalization, asylum law, and federal litigation. Ms. Villalpando is a native Spanish speaker. Ms. Villalpando is admitted to the practice of law in California and Texas as well as the United States District Court for the Western District of Texas, New Mexico and Colorado. She is also admitted to the practice of law at the United States Circuit Courts of Appeal for the Fourth, Fifth and Tenth Circuits. She enjoys long-distance running, painting, crafts, and traveling with her husband and young son.
